PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Clinical Interests and Specialties: I enjoy working with women who experience anxiety, interpersonal relationship difficulties, family or boundary challenges, trauma symptoms, or are experiencing distress related to sexuality.
I utilize interventions such as ACT, DBT, and mindfulness. I often work from an IFS (Internal Family Systems) framework and I am an EMDR trained therapist.
Work History and Training: Before opening my private practice, I worked as an outpatient therapist at an interdisciplinary group practice in downtown Boston, providing individual therapy to adults. Prior to this, I was a clinician and Assistant Program Director at an eating disorder treatment facility, working at the residential, PHP, and outpatient levels of care. At the start of my career, I worked as an in-home therapist for youth and families, and led a semester-long curriculum for college students taking time off from school to receive mental health support.
Education and Professional Affiliations: I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Vermont and my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, and completed my clinical internship at Stonehill College's Counseling Center. I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association (MAMHCA). I am board-certified through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and licensed in the states of Texas (LPC #89873) and Massachusetts (LMHC #10536). I have completed the 40 hour Supervisor training required by Texas to be an approved supervisor for LPC Associates.
